The Swiss Alps

The high-definition film entitled “The Alps” is a co-production by the private company Holcim and Switzerland Tourism. A shortened version of the original film will be shown in the official Swiss Pavilion, tailored specially to its large projection screen. The film shows a continual series of broad landscape views of Switzerland which sweep with deliberate slowness across the mountain scenery. It shows the omnipresence of the Swiss mountains which, apart from being beautiful, represent a harsh and difficult habitat for mountain populations.
