Ringier China
Established in 1833, Ringier is a multinational media company with around 7000 employees in 10 countries in Asia and in Central and Eastern Europe. Worldwide, Ringier publishes more than 120 newspapers and magazines and produces and markets more than 20 TV programmes. The company also holds considerable stakes in television and radio stations and operates about 80 websites and mobile platforms. It has eleven printing plants. Ringier is a fifth-generation family company.
Ringier has business operations in major cities in China, including Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, with a total number of over 400 employees. In cooperation with its publishing partners in China, Ringier runs Xinmin Bella women’s weekly magazine, Betty’s Kitchen monthly cooking magazine, CAAC in-flight magazine, Oriental Sky weekly in-flight newspaper, City Weekend bi-weekly English city lifestyle magazines, 38 specialized industry magazines, as well as the multimedia line extensions of these publications such as websites, mobile services, digital magazines, events, and custom publishing service. The company also runs a printing plant in Hong Kong.
