Federal Councillor Calmy-Rey to make an official working visit to China

Sixty years ago, Switzerland was one of the first western countries to recognise and to enter into diplomatic relations the newly founded People's Republic of China. Federal Councillor Micheline Calmy-Rey, head of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs will travel to China from 27-29 June 2010 for an official working visit to celebrate this anniversary. 

Mrs Calmy-Rey will also pay a visit to the Swiss Pavilion and the World Expo in Shanghai on 27 June to meet and greet the Swiss Pavilion staff as well as invited guests.
