Rural-Urban Interaction

Urban and rural habitats are complementary and interdependent. Switzerland is aware of this and for many years it has sought sustainable solutions for protecting and maintaining its natural habitats, as well as for improving living conditions in urban areas.

Apart from scientific exchange with China, Switzerland’s presence at EXPO 2010 in Shanghai offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate the country’s manifold attractions. Communication activities about Switzerland will be using this platform to correct the shortcomings in Switzerland’s image abroad as revealed by the image study, as well as to strengthen the country’s image in the long term, nurture existing relations and establish new ones.

Private-Public Partnership

As Switzerland’s official platform, the official Swiss Pavilion offers the public and private sectors in Switzerland the possibility to implement B2B projects, set up long-term business contacts, as well as present themselves on and network the Chinese market. China is of interest to Switzerland in particular from the point of view of its economic and tourist potential.
