Gamma Catering

GAMMACATERING is responsible fort the gastronomic section of the Swiss Pavilion at the Expo 2010 in Shanghai. GAMMACATERING will run an A La Carte restaurant, a staff restaurant and a VIP-Zone. In order to operate these three units properly we will employ fifty-five members of staff during six months.

The responsible head of project, Isabel Rappold, has been working as an event manager for GAMMACATERING for five years. Since last autumn she supervises the operative activities of Gamma Catering.

The A La Carte restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Swiss Pavilion and incorporates 150 places, 82 are located indoor and 68 outdoor. The restaurant will be open from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. daily. We are expecting up to 800 guests per day.

The menu consists of traditional and modern aspects of Swiss cuisine. It’s our goal to serve a choice of fresh and light food and beverages and to meet the requirements of Chinese food- and table culture at the same time.

The VIP-Zone is located on the third floor of the Swiss Pavilion and is destined for corporate-events. It‘s layout allows us to carry out events for up to 100 guests.

The staff restaurant is open to all employees working in the Swiss Pavilion. It is meant to be a place of encounter and recovery, where three delicious meals a day are provided.
